Lame P90 question
« on: October 24, 2009, 04:44:01 PM »
Ehhh..... are they the same dimensions as humbuckers.?
Will they fit in the space left by the 'buckers I'll be ditching for a set of BKP P90's?

Sorry, I'm about to splash out on my first Les Paul style guitar.
After the amazing difference that my Irish Tours made on my Strat I'm looking for a LP just so I can get a set.

thanks

Mississippi Queens are humbucker sized P90s.  A 'proper' P90 is not as wide and (I think) longer than a regular humbucker.  I found MQs don't sound the same as a true P90, but you may think otherwise.

If you want P90s in a Les Paul, I'd buy one that has them as standard then upgrade them.  Tokai/Vintage/Gibson/Epiphone etc all make LPs with P90s.
