So I just finished watching season 4 with my girlfriend. Is anyone else addicted to bones?

Is that a porno?

In all seriousness I don't think the Americans can really do forensic drama (eg. Waking the Dead vs Cold Case. No contest.).
They are better at medical dramas, though (even Quincy was good before he started teaching hollow morals to teens. Seriously there was one about Punk Rock that was hideously bad as well as one where he told a set of kids that alcohol was an evil vice before going to his favourite bar to celebrate with a round of drinks, what a c--k!).

Mrs 38th loves the show but I haven't really paid much attention though I have caught glimpses of a fine looking young woman so maybe I should.

I love it. It's throwaway TV but I am a little addicted to it.
I think I hate being indecisive.

Ah, the preaching and ranting was one of the best things about Quincy!  And the way he would put work above everything else - he even turned up late for his wedding!

Wasn't expecting to read about Quincy in this thread.  Never seen Bones.

Zooey Deschanels sister, Emily. Whos dad (in the show) is the Rev Billy G!

I've only ever watched one episode, and it happened to be one of the few with him in it.

Its just pisses me off when he does hypocritical things; like celebrating the results of his anti-drinking campaign with a party at his local pub, or the ridiculous conservative ideology that he used whenever any issue of youth culture was mentioned; in spite of his living an incredibly hedonistic and womanizing lifestyle that was far worse than the harmless fun these youth groups were having (seriously the punk rockers in that episode were clearly aerie faerie actors they had taken from a stage school and weren't in the least bit threatening.).

YES!!!!!!!!!!!

Quincy, when it's just a straight-ahead whodunnit, is one of the best. When it got that cr@ppy moralising, one of the worst. :(

Never watched bones...

He was indeed in the show. He's been in a few and plays guitar in one of them. He wasn't Emily Deschanel's Dad though - he was Angelas Dad.  :)

I watch it too.

Quite like American TV shows - Greys, Private Practice, Brothers & Sisters,30 Rock, Damages, House, Californication.

They might not be up to the level of great series such as Wire In The Blood or Cold case but hey're a darn sight better that drivel such as Holby City and the dreaded soaps!

I've just started watching Lie to Me which features the excellent Tim Roth.
