Why is there even a question mark over this? Clearly it's a load of bollox as is all supernatural shitee, if you've ever seen a ghost etc... you were either high or doing a Peter Green.

ahh. basically every time bashir asks him a question like "have you had plastic surgery" he answers with "thats just ignorance" and southpark picked up on it.

Ahhhh..... it does ring a faint bell now you've explained it  :) .   I vaguely remember the Jacko programme, but don't think I saw the South Park episode.

That's a tough one for me.  Basically I agree with you 100%.... but I've spent my entire life reading spooky stories and watching horror movies, and they still scare me.  I think deep-down there's a little bit of me that doesn't entirely disbelieve in these things.

So..... it may sound ridiculous, but I wouldn't stay overnight in a "haunted" house.  I wouldn't stand in front of a mirror and say "Candyman" five times.  And I wouldn't go to see a medium, even though I'm sure they're fraudsters.  I don't believe anything would happen - but why risk it?

I've tried that. Nothing happened. I was disappointed and relieved at the same time.

I love scifi/horror books and movies!

My wife went to a medium thingy, like that Colin Fry geezer, (much to my disgust :p) and she was given a message from the other side :o It IS creepy how they can get so much info from you without knowing you but I'm certain it's all about reading the person and general statistics.

Alot of my family are practicing Christians too and I take great pleasure denouncing god and quoting Richard Dawkins around them

Colin Fry's hilarious.  "Is she in The Spirit?"

I have several (mostly female) friends who've been to see mediums/psychics or whatever.  They always come back saying how amazing they were:  "She knew I was married", "She knew my father was dead" (might be the fact you're obviously over 60 yourself....).

I'd like to go along and observe - I'm sure it's all just very generalised leading questions, then picking up on the answers, reading body language and making educated guesses.

But again, if they came out with something they couldn't possibly just guess..... it would freak me out and possibly undermine my whole way of looking at the world.  :?

Something like - "I'm getting a strong feeling of strats with one pickup and a volume pot". Would that be freaky enough?

You mean my deep-down secret wish to be Edward Van Halen, which I've been covering up by slagging him off all these years?

Freaky, but freaky enough....?  Hmmmm.

Nah, it ain't worf it....

Suffice to say, I have no objection to his playing or music (well, on the first 7 albums, at least).  It's the utter bullsh!t he talks and his blatant profiteering I object to.

i dislike how that guy still tries to bust out wacky stage jumps at his age. guy needs to change it up.

i got fat and stopped even thinking about jumping with guitars.

fat people jumping just looks retarded. add and guitar and its a ten times worse!

now imagine some pensioner* jumping around to the brown sound. really is just as bad.

*by pensioner i mean EVH. not everybody with a bus pass.

PQ, if bullsh!t was a crime, this forum would have been shut down years ago...

True, but this bollox we write only gets read by half a dozen people.

EVH is on YouTube tw@tting on about how he cured cancer and came up with every significant development in guitar equipment since 1978.
