Which pickup to get the "Cold Hard Bitch" sound

Which pickup would you put in a LP standard (mahogany, flamed maple top and rosewood board) to get the sound from the following Jet clip?

I'm thinking something out of the vintage/vintage hot department. Am I right?

Yep, I reckon so...

Out of what I've got (Mules & Riff Raffs), I'd pick up the Riff Raffs to approximate those sounds in one guitar. But really you'd want two guitarists, one of each (for the singer's parts go for Riff Raff, for the other guy's go for Mules).

I have to admit, I've never heard of these guys - I was impressed... it's one of the few clips that get posted on here that I watched all the way to the end.

I really like Jet. Their first two albums are great. A mix of riff based rock n roll (like cold hard bitch) and rock ballads (with a hint of acoustic as well). Haven't heard much of their latest album, but it seems like they have lost the edge. Unfortunately.

I'd go for Riff Raffs......

BUT........

Change your guitars capacitors over to Vitamin Q  capacitors (a 0.022uF for the bridge pickup and maybe a 0.015uF for the neck) -will make the pickups really come into their own even with the tones turned full up.

The Vitamin Q caps impart a vintage vibe that might surprise you . They take a little of the edge off the slightly trebly Riff Raff (or other pickup) and make it sound like a vintage axe. Also the whole sweep of the tone pot is then usable with a multitude of great tones coming out.
