which bag for a cross-lateral?
« on: November 17, 2009, 07:04:28 AM »
Oh the problems us mere mortals face!!

I am in need of a new messenger bag to hold my laptop and stuff and I have a dire problem.....I can't decide to get it left-handed or right-handed, this should be simple right? "Well which are you?" Well, neither, I'm cross-lateral! My coordination's are split between both left and right, I throw with the right and write with the left, among a host of other crazy coordinations!

So should I get a messenger bag that sits on my left side or right? Cause only the collective wisdom of the BKP forum can save me!

If someone tries to snatch the laptop, which hand are you most likely to tw@t them with?

I only looked at this thread because I had absolutely no idea what the thread title meant.

I'm still baffled... are bags left- or right-handed?  Can't you just turn it round?  Is a "messenger bag" a special kind of bag with sinister/dexter options?  If so, couldn't they make one for the ambidextrous?  :?

Maybe you should just get a rucksack.

This makes me wonder. Do you play guitar right hand or left hand?

get one that goes over the same shoulder as your guitar strap.

If you're carrying a laptop around a lot I'd really recommend a back-pack type bag.  I damaged my back a lot carrying a laptop in a messenger bag but have had no problems since swapping to a back-pack style bag.  My two cents.

Tone monkey this really solved my problem I think.....I punch with the right....so If someone tries to grab something it should be on the left hand side so my right is free you thinks?

When I realized the topic contained descriptions of "what my hand does," no joke, I specifically worded it to give Afghan Dave the least amount of ammunition possible...and you still $%&#ed it for me  :P

I would but I'll be carrying my guitar around as well and seeing as I carry much more than a guitar in this-

The weight dictates I have to carry it back-pack style leaving me only space to carry something I can sling over my shoulders ala a messenger bag.

Thanks for the help guys!
