Hey guys I'm new to the forum. I've researched this topic to death but am hoping you guys can help me clear things up a bit.
I have a Holy Diver in my Fender Baritone Jaguar.
(Alder body, bolt on maple neck, rosewood fretboard, 27 inch scale, stoptail bridge)
I recorded this clip with it. Love the punch it has
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=938649&songID=8036136I have just bought a PRS baritone which is slightly brighter with a touch less mids than the Fender
( lightweight mahogany body, set in maple neck, ebony fretboard 28 inch scale, string thru bridge)
I'm just wondering what a good pickup would be for it. I was going to play it safe and just get another Holy Diver but sometimes the HD feels a little too dark in the mids. The thing worrying me about the Rebel Yell or Nailbomb is that the highs might be too ice picky/harsh as my Splawn Nitro amp is quite twangy as it is. Also that the RY might not be grunty enough compared to the HD or that the Nailbomb is too loose in the bottom end. Any advice would be welcomed. I play Deftones style modern alt/metal/rock.
