Dio diagnosed with cancer

just saw on BBC ceefax that Ronnie James Dio has been diagnosed with early stage stomach cancer.  apparently he was taken ill last week and had to cancel his upcoming european tour.

i wish him well, and hope he makes a speedy and full recovery

oh, that sucks.
the guys had a bloody good run though, still on top of his game and must be pushing 68 by now

I was supposed to be seeing him play in Manchester tonight.

Thats really bad news, I was supposed to be seeing him earlier in the week in Glasgow.

At least they've caught it early, apparently.  He's been looking quite frail in recent years, I hope he gets through the treatment OK.
