Emerald
« on: December 12, 2009, 08:34:28 PM »
Just replaced the VHII bridge in my Edwards with the Burnt Chrome Emerald that I traded for a Chrome RY bridge.

I like what I'm hearing. Crunchy upper mids not unlike the VHII, a bit lower in the frequency spectrum, but it has more body and thump to it than the VHII. A little more output and compression, too. But not too much.

I have to conclude that all BKPs are awesome.

Over and out :O)

Will do, but it might take a while as I'll be busy with other stuff in the coming days ...

There is a clip now in the Players section.

What I find most remarkable about the Emerald is how it stays tight under high gain, but although being crunchy and mean on the lower strings, it's still thick on the high notes. Don't know how Tim does it, but I'd say "ooops, he did it again"!
