epiphone with gibson pups
« on: November 17, 2005, 11:30:43 AM »
I have a spare set of gibson pickups, 490r and 498t, with the pots. could i put the pickups straight into the epiphone as a direct pickup replacement? im not to worried about upgrading pots, so would a direct replacement be ok?

thanks in advance. matt.

You wont have any problem with that whatsoever (bar the woolly tone  :P  )

Yes you can, but you'd be better to sell them on eBay and fit a set of Bareknuckles  :D

It's worth upgrading the pots and jack socket while you have the soldering iron heated up
Just 'cos you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get you
