Got some pretty cool stuff, nothing guitar related though. Main thing was an electronic speedo for my bicycle.

That, my friend, is a proper book. The compositor's bible in fact. A fine choice.

Yep I've had it out of the uni library but prefer having my own thing, so I asked for it! Pretty helpful/interesting especially for my final year project. I've actually just applied for a Runner position at your place but I doubt I'll get anything without a show reel (haven't really done any proper compositing stuff until now so don't have much to show for myself just yet). Put in a good word? :P

I got some nice smelly spray stuff (I think you Earthlings call it Eau d'Toilet, or something).

Wife also got me some weird but cool ethnic noise tools - a rainmaker and a wind drum thingy.

Shen tends not to get me that much, giving me license to spend a little bit on myself in the new year.  I.e. WEber attenuator/new EL34s/cool modulation pedal.  Or something.

Got some wine, an LP and a 7", some wee bits and bobs and a bender/chopper/whisk appliance thing which is fucking awesome. I've been finding any excuse to use it. I went to Somerfield earlier just to buy loads of fruit and ice cream to make milshakes and smoothies so I could play with it again
