Muse are the most boring band I have ever heard in my life.
I too use chicken as a measurement.

I'm still struggling to decide.

But I think it's probably either Enslaved, with six fantastic albums this decade, the last three of which are near-flawless and continue to push boundaries without abandoning what made them great in the beginning.

I wouldn't go that far, what with bands such as Editors or Scouting for Girls. Pretty boring though!

Wow, how have you successfully managed to avoid the likes of Snow Patrol and Athlete?

(I've so far been unable to think of any 2000's band I actually like much...)
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Give Hey Mercedes a go, Philly :) May be a bit too "emo pop" or whatever for you though, and they definitely sound better on the CD but there arent many vids about.

edit - Most of Alkaline Trio's stuff is in the 2000s as well, they're probably my band of the decade (even though the best album is 1998 :P) cos they have so much good stuff :)

For me it has to be Meshuggah.

Yes, they've been around for a while, but IMHO Obzen is one of the finest albums ever produced. :)

They were so boring they clearly left no lasting impression on me as I'd forgotten the tedium of hearing them until you mentioned them.
Clearly I must rescind that comment and say that Muse is the most boring band I can actually still remember from the past decade.

Thanks Tom, I watched that and a couple of their other clips.  I don't dislike that kind of stuff, but I'm ultimately too deep-rooted in blues-based '70s rock, I think.   I can appreciate other things, but I never feel like I totally "get" them.

Bottom line I'd agree with Dave here, Muse ... or (sorry) Coldplay.

Blood Inside Cat's Vulva !!!

Most of my music is over 10 years old (or at least the bands are).  Bonnie Prince Billy (Will Oldham) is probably on my CD player more than anything this week, so I'll go with that
Advice worth what you just paid for it.

They're not far off. Certainly released one of the top five albums of the decade.
