Couple of questions reguarding Pup height and neck bow

First off, is this to low for my BKP Warpig in your opinion?





Now for the neck bow. Alright I am receiving some fret buzz all around the fretboard from fret 1 to 24. (This thing hasn't been setup in years.) It is predominately around 8-14 fret which from what I can tell is where the neck bow is at it's peak.

I put a capo on the first set of frets and pushed down on the 24st fret. Then i measured the distance from the Low E string to the fretboard. It's exactly .351mm apart from each other. It's not a lot at all but is this average or should it be bowed more? I mean just looking at it I can see the bow but I can't really tell how predominant it is.

Can anyone help?

That looks like a Jem?

The Warpig can be closer to the strings but trust your ears and play clean as well as distorted when balancing it with the split tones and the neck volume.

IMHO - The very next pickup you should buy would be a RWRP Trilogy for the middle position and sell the Jem single on ebay!

It also looks like your trem is at an odd angle with the bass trempost higher than the treble.

I'd try to balance them to a mid point to help wear rate and return on that trem knife edges.

The single coil seems quite high too.

Your setup is a way out from standard  :? :P

Follow ALL the stages of the Jemsite setup guide and you will be OK.

Could you remeasure the neck relief?

Do like you did before but measure the distance between the high E string and the top of the 10th fret (if it's a 24 fret neck. On Fenders I measure at the 8th fret)

As a guideline it should be about .010". If you're a light picker with a 12" radius you can go as low as .008" if you're a heavy picker with a 7.25" radius it's about .012".

Note: these are guide lines, not fixed rules. Setups can be very personal.

I think you can raise the Piggy a bit. I think the pole screws can be raised a bit as well, roughly following the radius.

You might want to take it to a good tech for a pro setup.
