What size Allen Key for PRS Stoptail bridge?
« on: January 08, 2010, 12:57:47 PM »

Hmm, seems my 1.5mm is too small and the 2mm too large for the McCarty wraparound (1 piece) bridge.

Is it imperial? Anyone knows the size?

Thanks for your efforts :)

It's imperial for sure, #6-32 thread size, the same as Fender pickup mounting screws.

I don't know how to work out what Allen key you need, though!
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Maybe you could contact PRS and ask them?

Sorry, I meant the small allen screws coming from the back and used to adjust intonation

That's what I meant too!  Get a Fender (or BKP) pickup height screw and try screwing it into the back of the PRS stoptail, it'll fit!  :P

But I don't know how Allen screws are sized - if a #6-32 grub screw will always need the same size Allen hex key, or if it varies.
