NEsqD?
« on: January 10, 2010, 09:36:31 AM »
Well, I had a "moment" and bought one of these on ebay...

Good spec full size alder, through body and a modern c neck and ripe for modding or stripping to the bare-essentials..

You all know it's been a long time coming but at £89 inc shipping... I think it's worth a punt!

Fingers crossed it's not a total dog and some Esquire lovin' here I come  :? :P

I hope it's good mate - let us know when it arrives!
I think I hate being indecisive.

So do I!

I just figured that it would serve as a base for future Telecaster fun and allow me to fit some good tele parts which I could use on any future build of much higher quality.

Then again, it could be a hidden gem... No name but big vibe CNC crafted anomaly.

It looks like a steal for the money.  Are you going to Esquire it immediately then?

That guitar is screaming for an intimate meeting with a hand drill and a Holydiver. You know you want to.

Gotta be honest, it ain't pretty, but for £89 you can afford to have your wicked way with it then abandon it in the gutter.

I predict a rapid Trigger's-brooming process like Andrew's Telemaster.  :P

She's the kinda gal you meet knocking about in the early hours of Sunday morning....

She's from Essex and she's very, very cheap and probably a bit rough if you inspect her cavities too closely but you've gotta give her a go.

I'm gonna strip her down immediately, I think she's beggin' for it.... Get deep into her guts for a few hours.  :P I don't even know her name but with a bit of work I'm sure I can get this cheap little slut to sound good...

Jon, I'd love to have got my hand on yours but a Croydon lady is a bit too classy for me at the moment  :?

I like 'em cheap!

If you weren't talking about Feline specifically, that would be a very sad state of affairs....

Needs a black/white/black pickguard imo, that's the best look for a Fender!
