Think i'm gonna go with fake. 3 Hole truss rod cover is usually the easiest way to tell, and it looks as though this one is. Since, as Will said, it isn't screwed on. Isn't the bridge mounted backwards too?
you wouldn't use the meat knife on crusty bread but, equally, the serrated knife and straight edge knife aren't going to go through raw meat as quickly
To add to all the other wrongness, the serial number is the wrong font and size.I don't think they stamp "Made In USA" on the headstock any more either, which is at odds with the 2005 supposed serial number.

Gibson use 2 screws, that fake has 2 screws, plus if it was a custom they would more than likely be gold plated. It also looks like the cover was cut out by a blind monkey the more I look at it.
