Istanbul Truck Driver

Anyone seen this on the news yet? Sorry about the yank news program!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lpOAuOBpE0k

An articulated tipper trailer truck being driven along a duel carriage way with the body up 25-30ft up in the air and slams into a pedestrian bridge with some poor sod on it! You can see him on the left freeze when he saw the truck coming towards him. No one was killed amazingly.

wow! I'm sorry to say it for you Johnny, but with my experience with "lorry" drivers in Brazil, I think each of them deserves TWO bullets in the forehead...

They drive on the left lane (the high speed one), cross to your lane 10m ahead you without push the turn signal, etc...
This guy on movie is the kind of lorry driver in Brazil: "I'm big and you small, you pay attention or get screwed" :?

I reckon he was on his phone and forgot to lower the trailer as crazy as that sounds. I worked with a bloke who turned over a tipper due to chatting on his phone. I've heard of a few disasters over the years but nothing like this.

He has forgot to lower it, something has distracted him (mobile phone?). The news reader said that he reckoned the trailer lifted on its own but that's impossible as the hydraulic rams need to have the fluid pumped out of them.

Sipping? I'm on the ale tonight and it's the last day of work tomorrow then it's a week off for me with 2 Rammstein gigs to gwap at goth girls at. So I intend completing this last day with a hangover. I've subordinates to dish out work to and generally annoy and I find I do that best when not feeling well or if possible still pissed.
