Pedal advice GNR

Have a 50w valve amp el34 based will do crunch...but not much higher gain, for stuff like you could be mine what pedal would people recommend.

No longer got the Crunch Box, still got the other two.  Guv'nor is more gritty, Tonerider is very similar to the Crunch Box, if not identical.  A bit smoother.

Neither - lots of gain and lots of bass = super flabbiness.

Going for GnR you will have to do without a lot of bottom end/lower mids. That tone is all about upper mid crunch.

OCD would be great into a dirty amp, but it's not that cheap.

Think that may have been used on a lot of the use your illusion stuff

MI Audio Crunchbox for sure - owned one and it did that kind of thing great.

Or, you could simply use a SD-1 into your Laney GH50L - that should get you there.  An MXR 6-band EQ would be a cool way to get that tone too.

I could swear I remember him going on about MXR Distortion+ in an interview I read somewhere. Also try an older RAT pedal.

I'd avoid anything Tube Screamer derived as I don't think that will give you the sound.

I think you'll generally struggle unless you've got a big Marshall running at a very loud volume.
