To be pedantic - there is no Small Claims Court, rather there is the County Court with a case assigned to the Small Claims track.  Although the procedure is slightly less cumbersome, it is very similar to other Civil Claims, just for sums of money for £5000 or less.  The main difference is that there is a bar on the recovery of legal costs (except the cost of issuing the claim) unless one of the parties behaves unreasonably.

Elliot - is it easy to use? (i.e. pursue a case?)

Thanks

If you fill the forms out and send them to whoever you are going to claim off, it's often a good kick up the arse for them to get the problem sorted.  Shows that you're serious........ I've just advised my brother the same thing.  If there's still no suitable response, then you can submit them to the court.
Advice worth what you just paid for it.
