Worth Modifying Pickups?
« on: February 14, 2010, 06:08:59 PM »
RG1570, stock pickups are alright but I would change them if it were worth it.

I've been thinking though, BKPs into Toneport? Sounds like overkill and the whole pickups/amp argument on which affects tone more would obviously agree that it might be more important for amp improvements at this stage rather than pickups.

What do you think?

"Oh, no thanks, I don't eat fruit."

To be totally honest there isn't much point. Both my guitars have BKPs and when I play through my toneport they both sound the same. Even changing from neck to bridge doesn't make a huge difference. It's night and day through my amps though.

i don't know... pickups make a big deal of difference with my PODxt... like with my tube amp, even if in completely different ways!
Mule, MQ, Stockholm, CS, RY, MM, PK, ANB, CNB, AWP, CWP, PiG90...
