Anybody fancy playing guitar
« on: February 27, 2010, 11:50:58 PM »
over this. This is a rock backing track I put down a while ago, but never finished. Easiest form of collab just stub out your joint and widdle.
The track is supposed to represent riding the old Ducati motorbike I used to have and is called Duke. Anyway if there's any takers great, if not no worries.

Yeah, go on then. Tomorrow, when the neighbours aren't likely to call the police on me.

Not sure about stubbing out the joint though. At my age the only joints I have are arthritic ones.

Actually I'm so old I'm not always sure about the widdling either but that's another story.

I'd like to hear some really mean, greasy slide guitar over that track.  Sorry I can't do it myself!
BKPs I've Got:  RR, BKP-91, ITs, VHII, CS set, Emeralds
BKPs I Had:  RY+Abraxas, Crawlers, BD+SM

Can we see the Ducati for inspiration?

I was just in the process of deciding which slide to use. I think it'll be the super-heavy one.

Guys, get in there. I'd love to get various versions and splice together the contributors. Not that I know how to do that, but I'll find out.

And for further inspiration this is what Ducati riding is like. I dearly wish I could afford one of these mofos.

mehhhh, I didn't realise I'm out of practice on slide guitar. This is sloppy, I was aiming for something a bit more wild but the fingers aren't going where my brain wants them to this morning.

I'll have another bash at it when inspiration strikes. If inspiration strikes. I need to get a better feel for the track.

So yeah, enough excuses, here's the link

Thanks Frank for being so prompt. That's exactly the sort of thing I had in mind. Could you do do me a tighter one and give it me both with the backing and on it's own. Though frankly(no pun intended) I could go with what you've already done. Great start.

And please if anybody else want's to do something so I can mix and match one or two bkp boys on one track.

I'm busy most of today, I'll do you a separate mp3 of the guitar track when I get home but I won't have time to re-record it til tomorrow

edit: disregard that, here's a better take

edit edit: here's yesterdays's take without backing, more distorted and a couple of crossfades to hide my mistakes!

Perfectos Frank. Now you'll have to bear with me while I learn to do the technicals.

Once again if anybody else fancies a go. Just a few bars of tasty licks'll do.
