New guitar day.  After waiting 10 weeks for it my new guitar arrived today.  It's a Fender Telecaster JA-90 in a trans black finish.  It's a set neck tele with a TOM bridge & P90's

I wasn't sure about the witch hat knobs on it so I've already changed them for some chrome barrels.  What do you think?  stick with the chrome ones or put the plastic ones back on?

So far I'm really liking it.  Does need  some heavier strings on it before I can really get in to it.  They a bit light & bendy at the moment.

Looks very nice congrats.  For me like the crome but love the  practicallity of numbers on the knobs. Especially when you got 2 volume and 2 tone. Which ever you end up keepign on it the guitar is a lucks really nice. Enjoy!

Nice score. There's a red one in my local store that keeps calling to me.

They are great guitars- well done. I like the chrome barrels you have put on too.

Thanks guys,  forgot to mention it's 24 3/4" scale too (my first guitar this scale, all the rest are 25 1/2" or 26 1/2").  Does seem to make things seem a little easier to play.  Probably explains why the strings feel so slack too.  I might have to skip my usual 10's for this one & go straight to 11's.

Great guitar. Looks nice n nasty. Both knobs look good, but the witch hats look funkier. What's also interesting to me is the scale length as I'm planning on a conversion neck from Warmoth for my strat to get 24 3/4".

I do like this, rather a lot. Also: Any Signature edition that doesn't have glaring, ostentatious branding is an automatic winner in my book.

Oh, and almost forgot. I prefer the witch-hats. It adds to the whole "Mammy was a Thinline Tele, Daddy was an LP Special Doublecut" thing that's going on there.

I do that, I do like difference in Teles, especially the finish and the bridge/pickups.

Congratulations on the NGD :D

PS. Prefer the witch hats

Couldn't see the pics at work... wasn't expecting to like it too much...

But it's lovely :D

I think I'd go chrome knobs, but like others say, there's a certain funkiness to the witch-hats.

And it's nice to see Roo's back to his normal ways :D
