Change of Venue for Nailbombs

So, I'm thinking that my Charvel/Nailbombs isn't getting played much at the moment - I'm playing my Tele and Yam SG exclusively with my band, and only touch the Charvel if I want to use the tremolo.

I'm thinking (possibly, maybe, not sure) of a pre-wired Irish Tour scratchplate for the Charvel - I think that this would make it much more practical for me at the moment.

However, that would leave me with 2 Nailbombs without a home!!!

I was thinking about a cheap-but-cool home for them - maybe something off Ebay.  Something along the lines of a LTD Viper, which I love the look of.

Any thoughts?

Cracking idea, Dave - don't know why I didn't think of that...

But it's a slow day at work, and I'm flicking around Ebay looking at Vintage SGs, and Tokais (which I've always loved), and it seems that you can get a lot for a couple of hundred quid...

I suspect the Jackson Rhodes is slightly out of budget...  Although not a bad idea, gwEm.

I've used Nailbombs in several guitars (strat, LP, PRS, FV, neck-thru Charvel), but by far the best they've ever sounded was/is in my Jackson DK2M.

So that's my recommendation: a Jackson DK2M :)

That's interesting - Jonathan made some very possitive comments in that thread...  But they're pricy - over £400 at the moment...

Yeah, just saw that.  It's just... well...  I'm knocking on a bit, and it looks uncomfortable, particualrly if you try to play it sitting down...

my vyper alternative suggestion is a minimalist les paul studio style guitar then... ;)

my first NB equipped guitar was a ridiculously cheap ibanez s320, just to try them... now it mounts a pair of HDs i wouldn't have used otherwise, but it sounded great and felt very comfortable and "classy". much, much more than its price would suggest. you can lock the bridge so it would not be as annoying as a FR... i hate those floating things... :)
