any thought on blackstar HT cabs?
« on: March 06, 2010, 09:06:44 AM »
i keep looking for 4x12 cabs... not very seriously and well under the real GAS threshold (the search would be very very shorter in that case...)
Blackstar HT cabs are quite cheap and are Celestion equipped... but they don't specify anywhere what kind of Celestion speakers they mount! any hint or first hand opinion?
Mule, MQ, Stockholm, CS, RY, MM, PK, ANB, CNB, AWP, CWP, PiG90...

too many? ;)

I would recommend to look for old/vintage Marshall cabs. Same price but they sound twice as good as any of the new cabs around.

There are real cheap BHWs on Soundslive, too. 4 Heritage Celestions and a cool Handwired Series Cab for 400 quid!
