So, here were are:

Vintage SG-a-like

Vintage PREsque (see what I did there?!?! Did ya???!
All cleaned, polished, and restrung with 10s.
The SG is an instant fav. It's GREAT to play! Incredibly low action, very flat fretboard. A little choking on the high E string, but I can sort that. I want to get them into a decent state before I decide what to do with them. It's actually a pretty good metal guitar, I think, and will be a GREAT home for my Nailbombs. Fast runs are pretty easy, probably a little easier than on my Charvel, which is odd... The edges of the fretboard are a little sharp, but Wev demo'd a little trick to sort that out.
The PREsque is a little harder to love - again, well put together, but there's something about it...
Both sound pretty decent, and definitely not cheap - the SG sounds a little better. Very SG like, actually - quite a biting sound.
A lot of guitar for about £130, I reckon!
