small midi footswitch
« on: March 15, 2010, 08:57:46 PM »
i need a simple midi footswitch with no more than 4-5 switches and leds (i just use 3 presets on my fx processor)...

i had a really bad experience with a tech21 midi moose (ok, i blew it and it was my fault, but it was really cheaply made and conceived... and damn expensive for what it offered), but i'm looking for something similar.

any idea??
Mule, MQ, Stockholm, CS, RY, MM, PK, ANB, CNB, AWP, CWP, PiG90...

The Midi Moose is indeed a piece of you-know-what. Had it for maybe 2 months, and it started draining out the batteries in no time, literally in a few hours (promised 200+ hours of active use.) Now it lights up but doesn't send the program changes anymore. I like the layout but the quality is bad. Might have to look for a new controller myself, as I don't know if the unit's repairable cheaply/easily...

That looks pretty cool. Does it run on batteries as well as DC?

I have an FC-200, but the pedals are a bit too close together for my wide feet, and in the heat of a gig I find myself stomping on 2 pedals at once. I wonder if these are spaced out a bit more ... ?

heres the old thread about my roland gfc-50:

it runs on batteries or DC, and my mods also mean it runs on MIDI phantom power too, which is an absolute joy.

i don't have problems stepping on two switches at once - but YMMV of course!

frankly, i've not been using this midi pedal as much as i thought i would - would probably sell it if interested

i was thinking about something with metal switches, but it could work, actually...
