Some of his answers to some fairly straight forward questions give the hint of a huge ego:

"I have total command of my skills and tools. Most guitar guys don’t have the same expertise, knowledge and creative ideas. The ones that do can’t execute it in the same way. We’re all unique in our talents; I happen to be a player and a builder. I’ve never understood builders who can’t play on a professional level or push the envelope of their designs"

I hate people like that.  They make you feel like you're not good enough to even deal with them unless you're as talented as God.

Then he charges $250 for a bridge, $45 for a neck plate and can't even be bothered to send them out.  w**ker.

I've found Glendale good to deal with, probably just as good quality but without looking like polished jewelery.

I know Tele bridges play a big part in the sound but after trying a few out (Fender, Glendale, Callaham, Wilkinson), I conclude they all do the job in their own way and are decent products.

Why some guys w**k over Tele bridges I don't know....

Especially the non-stainless ones, they get terribly rusty.

 :D

I've ordered myself a rather cheap Wilkinson tele bridge (with brass saddles). I have no intention of w@nking on it.
I think I hate being indecisive.

Yeah, there's not much wrong with the cheap Wilkinsons.  :)

I quite like the Fender Highway One bridges, they don't have ragged corners like vintage-reissue Fender bridges and you can get them dirt cheap on eBay.  The saddles are absolute rubbish but you can upgrade to Glendales or something and end up with a really nice bridge which didn't cost an arm and a leg.

Hunter - wished you'd have asked me
I deal with the UK distributors for MM every week and they are not bad to deal with, and with part numbers it should have been a breeze

Pity! Well, anyways, now I learned how to drill huge holes into a gorgeous guitar without sweating too much over it. I did sweat a bit I have to admit though. Best thing that I was lucky and it turned out nice, maybe not so much looks wise on close up, but function and tone are spot on now!

Next time I need something, I'll ask you for that contact. Probably it's just the Germans (and Dutch who I contacted too) who are incapable...

Still, If you want truly overpriced parts, and to be shanked at every turn round, all you really need to do is buy a Rickenbacker.
