Missing MJW Amp
« on: March 27, 2010, 12:05:09 PM »
A couple of weeks ago, a Roadstar 36 6V6 I had just finished disappeared whilst in the "care" of DHL couriers. They're still looking for it, and there's a chance it might be found, but IMO the best bet is it's been stolen.
It was on it's way to a forum member, and you can imagine how he feels right now. I had it insured for the build cost, so he's not out of pocket (in fact I am), but there is now a further wait for me to build a new amp.
So please could you keep an eye out for it. It is unique, so shouldn't be too hard to spot.
Cheers.

DHL also lost one of my guitars. It was a temp van that collected it, and thats all that I can think was the dodgy link.
I hope they find it or refund you quickly.

And not that it helps, but it looks great!

See it positive, your amps are so desirable that people risk jail to get one  :)

Good luck with finding it back dude!!

Hopefully it'll turn up albeit when you're not expecting. I'll certainly keep my eyes open.

f*uckin scumbags, hope it turns up Martin

this also goes to show that you should always insure high value parcels as they DO occasionally go 'missing'

Cheers Ian.
I'm still hoping, as probably is David.

Fortunately it was insured, for at least the cost of replacement parts. Covering full retail takes the price of shipping up too high.
Parcelbroker have been very good about it and have paid out already, so I've ordered all the bits.

By the way, my Roadstar 36 prototype has still never surfaced. It must be out there somewhere. Stolen from my car in Manchester, 2008.
Converted JTM60 head box, now fitted with a gold plexi control panel.
BOLO, as the FBI say!
