I'm jamming with a new covers band on a Saturday, which is great. For simplicity it's using borrowed amps at the rehersal rooms. I'm using a Fender Stage 112, bloody loud and clean, rather nice for an SS amp.
I'm finding my self in need of a solo boost, I'm going guitar>Tuner>Distortion>Delay>Amp (Set loud and Clean) and it sounds great.
I'm not a volume tiwddler at the guitar end and prefer to stamp on something.
I've never used a boost pedal before so if anyone can offer some advice I would be very pleased :D
I was looking at EHX LPB-1, MXR Micro Amp, SD Pickup Booster.
I like the idea of the SD with it's resonance switch so when I kick it in I could get a fatter lead tone for songs using SC pickcups.
OR would an Overdrive of some type in line with the Dist pedal do the trick while adding a bit more grit and dirt??..
I must admit I used to be a multi FX guy and am now enjoying stomp box love, but am inexperienced with it.
