« on: March 28, 2010, 03:07:28 PM »
Ive found a store that sells the exact ones i want in matched set (pre & power) but its in the US and i wasn't too sure on how likely they are to arrive in good condition.

http://thetubestore.com/sba-marshall-jcm2000-tsl60-2.html

this is the set i want. Has anyone dealth with these before?

And how likely are they to arrive in good condition?

Does anyone know of a uk equivalent?

Thanks

HotRox or Watford Valves are the top two puppies in the UK.

I buy from the Tubestore all the time and never have any problems with them (but I do live in the States).  In England I've used Watford valves most of the time.
So many pickups, so little time

I've used Tube Town in Germany and they were kind enough to include some Haribo and chocolate in the box! (maybe this was just cos it was Christmas though).
I'm keen to try Doug's Tubes in the US, he get's a lot of support on the ADAdepot forum.

Hotrox.

I've used Tubetown (got sweeties at Christmas!  :D) and TAD with no problems.

I wouldn't use Watford Valves.

I've used Watford Valves, Hotrox and Tube Shop. All 3 have been pretty good, watford valves were the slowest though.

I've found Watford valves to be expensive, slow to deliver and unhelpful over the phone.

YMMV of course!

Our mileage ( over some years ) is the same on this one.  :?

They have some interesting stock ;  but it's like begging for treats.

Tube Amp Doctor is a good source, HotRox also has a good range for solid prices.
