Is that definitely the real thing (and not a very good copy)?  

In most pictures I've seen the colour looks a lot more uneven, and I don't tremember there being that many little spots and dents all over it.

Phew, that's good, I knew it looked wrong somehow!  :) 

Comparing with the second pic, the bare patch by the bridge pickup and the wear on the tailpiece look like they've been scr@ped away rather than just worn naturally.  Good job though.

I thought the first picture was real. But now comparing it to the real thing you can really tell the difference, but it is close.
