I'm full of anticipation at the moment
New MJW amp on the way in a few months and new strat type guitar in a few weeks

spill!

Not much to spill - Martin is building me a bigger 36w amp head
A local guy is putting a new neck on a strat with a hip shot trem, huge stainless steel Jedcar frets, an lsr roller nut and some interesting tuners. I will post details when I get each one.
Looking forward to both of them a lot.

Sounds like some good gear on order there. I love the spec of your Strat. Is it inspired by bloke called Jeff?

Does sound a bit strange this
It was 18w
Oddly I'm using the casing from that and getting Martin to shoe-horn a 36w head in to it.
2 reasons:
 - 1 it will match the cab as the tolex is hard to get.
 - 2 my girlfriend will think it's the same amp and won't kick my ass. Unless of course she reads this. Then I'm f*cked

-
The spec on the strat is a bit Jeff Beck but I thought I'd experiment and see if tuning stability would be even greater with the steinberger's

Only downside is some would say they are a bit ugly

So what happened to the 18w amp

It's getting a new case and then being sold....probably  :?....unless I can hide it from her somewhere and keep it

Yep, a Martamp 18w.  Nice sounding amp, I've played it a few times  :)

I just cured my major GAS and bagged a Marshall 2554 Jubilee 1 x12 combo. Other than that there must be something wrong with me as I don't have much GAS at the moment.... may be 'coz I haven't much money eh? lol

Here's what I'm thinking though....

To get Feline to re-finish my Yamaha SG in blueburst so I can give it to my youngest son for his 16th in 18months time.
Ibanez flanger... one of the yellow 4 knob ones.
BKP Crawlers with aged nickel covers
TonePros bridge and tail piece for Epi '65 SG along with some chrome pick up covers.
Pedaltrain II with power supply
A few speakers so I can do some speaker trials at some point.

My Pedaltrain II fell apart, the handles and strap are weak :(

A PRS SC250 (now out of production, but there's a few still kicking around - sadly most at over £2k  :( )
A PRS Custom 24 (plenty around, all £2k +  :( )

Yeah, I've been looking at PRSes this week, after realising that (a) most of the models I like have been discontinued; (b) the prices seem to have gone up quite a bit (although I don't follow them closely).

I really hate the look of the new bound-neck models.  Fortunately, in true PRS style, they'll probably be short-lived.

I do follow the prices pretty closely, and you're spot on Philly - the prices of the discontinued ones have gone up, even if they're old stock with the 'filled in' bird inlays, which I reckon is well cheeky.

Couldn't agree more about the bound necks too, I bloody hate them. Unbound boards were one of the things that attracted me to PRSs in the first place, and then they go and do that!  :x

I like the look of binding on Gibsons/Felines etc, but I think the bound PRS necks clash horribly with the "fake" maple binding on the bodies.

They should've gone the whole hog and used real binding on the bodies too.  Or just stuck with no binding!
