Selling Advice

I've decided to change my guitar and make a move to a guitar with slightly more wood in the neck but I have no idea what would be a reasonable price to ask. I have an Ibanez RGT42 in Pearlescent Black and an Edge Pro II bridge. The 5-way selector has been changed to a American series, vintage Fender 3-way switch. I've also changed the volume pot to a 500k push/pull to coil tap the pups and the pickups have been changed to a set of Bare Knuckle 'Cold Sweats'. The guitar is in excellent condition.

What would be a reasonable price for this guitar? Another option is to put the original pups back in it and sell the Bare Knuckle pups seperately. Would that be better and if so, what do you think would be a fair price for each? I was thinking of about £400 for the lot (£300 and £100) but am I being silly with that estimate?

No, I think its fairly sensible, but it depends whom youre selling it to.

Most people dont really want or give a cr@p about the aftermarket pickups, and those that want the pickups tend to want them in a guitar of their choice.

It probably appeals more to both broad groups to sell them seperately (or at least give that option) so you get interest from
- people that want the guitar stock
- people that want the guitar to mod how they want to mod it
- people that want the guitar with current upgrades
- People that want the pickups for their own guitar

I've usually sold guitars as BK upgraded quite successfully and with similar pricing logic (decent second hand prices for both, add up and take a little bit off, depending what it looks like compared to the new stock guitar).

Not entirely sure what the guitars worth but I reckon 120 is somewhere between fair and good for a pair of BK HBs.
