Nostalgia content... N.A.D.. again
« on: April 17, 2010, 01:23:56 PM »
So I've ended up with more amps than I want and some will have to go, but I have wanted another one of these for years since selling my first one. Not entirely sure how much different it sounds to the JCM900 I recently got ( and really like) but enter the Jubilee 1 x 12....   It's in really good, clean condition and I'm pretty chuffed to be honest.....

I have one and they are great amps for recording.  I put a celestion sidewinder in mine and it roars.
So many pickups, so little time

ah, strange that you mention the Sidewinder as I have one in the 1 x 12 cab. Can't say that I've had it up very loud yet mind.

Update. I rehearsed with this last night and have to say I'm really impressed, it is a very nice compact amp. However, and this REALLY surprised me to be honest.... taking into account what this cost compared to my JCM900 1 x 12 I was more impressed with that! I'm not saying it is a better amp that the Joob, but channel 1 on the JCM is not too far removed from the crunch sound of the Jubilee. And if you keep the gain down on channel 2 (lead) to maybe 12 o'clock and use a boost to thicken the sound a little it's a great gigging amp. I may be wrong here, but I can see that for recording/ studio work it's not going to be up there with alot of amps, but when you want a decent gigging sound that will cut through through the mix these are superb.

Ok... excitement over!
