I watched the second one (I think it was), but it seemed to take an age for him to even get on to the theory of conservation of angular momentum. After that, it sped up and was quite interesting (it was about Saturn's rings), although I can't help thinking the whole series was just an excuse to get him to travel to essentially every exotic and interesting location on earth!
Fair play to him, though, he's earned it, and frankly us scientists have a tough time making our cases, getting funding, and getting job security as it is, I certainly don't begrudge him this success - it's clearly not been handed to him on a plate, he knows his beans and, more importantly: knows how to communicate them!
