Acoustic amps

Anybody know what a good acoustic amp would be to play with a band.  I'd would need enough power to play with a loudish drummer and be well heard.

just go through the PA - its much easier.

one of those acoustic pedals are good for getting the acoustic to actually sound like one.

I've found that the EMG soundhole pickup in my Jumbo sounds great and can be tweaked at the desk to get a pretty acceptable acoustic sound so long as the mids on the desk are sweepable.

what pedals are you thinking of?

Yeah going through the PA can be okay if it's good but not our PA, its rubbish.  Also some places I play have pretty bad PA's so I want to control the sound a bit more.

I used to the have the Rockman acoustic pedal - was pretty good, did what it was supposed to.  Boss also make such a beast - the Boss one looks the better one since its got settings to enhance various types of acoustic pickups and built-in reverb.  The Rockman was good, but it came out probably as long as ten years ago and I'm sure the technology has improved alot by now.

Tom - AER are pretty good but not sure that you would get the volume - that is the problem with a loud drummer...

The Marshall acoustic combos are pretty good?

I've tried a Marshall Acoustic amp and it sounded good to me. This one had a few extra connections, like XLR, Stereo Phono line ins for mics and mp3 players for backing tracks.
