7-string Nailbomb - HEAVY dirty metal groove
« on: April 25, 2010, 08:26:09 PM »
I've spent all day working on a new drum mix and bass tone, so I put together a quick mixtest.
The guitar is my cr@ppy Ibanez RG7321, with a Nailbomb in the bridge. The bass is a Warwick Streamer Std.

Hope y'all dig!

Loved it overall, but those cymbals were a bit overbearing at times. I'd be more than happy with that though. What programs were you using?

Cheers Steve!
The OHs were definitely a tad harsh on this one, I've toned it down for further use.
It was all recorded in Logic 9, using Toontrack Superior 2.0 and Metal Foundry drum samples, and various plug-ins for EQ, compression, reverb, saturation etc.

Very nice. I definitely need to upgrade from Ezdrummer DFH to Superior after hearing that. Was it supposed to be 30 seconds long though?

That sounds great - I love it. Is this the Alnico Bomb? Didn't know it can be that tight...

Thanks Pop! It is indeed the alnico 'bomb. I feel like people underestimate how tight the BKP alnico pickups are - they're tighter than most other manufacturers' ceramics!
This newer clip I did shows the tightness much better: http://bareknucklepickups.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=21134.0
