I've got 2 Corts, an X custom and a G290, and they are both excellent guitars. Flawlessly put together from good materials. The X custom nearly plays itself, and the G290 just exudes quality. They've both got Seymours and the only ones I really like are the singles on the G290. The JB on the 290 sounds really brash in humbucking mode (actually sounds quite decent split though) and the X has an Invader with a Jazz, which is nuts because the output mismatch is really apparent. While the Jazz does give good clarity for picked single notes, at the kind of gain levels you need for the Invader to sound any good it really doesn't hold up. Some Holydivers or Nailbombs could well be finding their way into the X (or maybe the new JP sig set from Dimarzio, I'm somewhat torn), and a Crawler will definitely be going into the 290.
Gone on way too long there, but basically the only thing I've got to complain about is the pickups (I did have to change the Floyd on the X actually, it died on me), the wood parts are excellent, and the hardware on the 290 is all rock solid. For the kind of money Corts go for they are a serious bargain, and you can pick them up for peanuts on ebay. In summary, I'm a repeat Cort customer and I recommend taking a punt.
