New trick in my old Dog...
« on: December 02, 2005, 09:50:13 PM »
I'm still glowing from a juicy day of guitar playing-
Just got a bag with 3 new BK's
2 Warpigs- 1 alnico, 1ceramic, both camo covered...
and a Nailbomb-
also camo covered, and with allen headcaps...
Was great playing the 'bomb in my favorite axe,
 the Balatron 'pocketaxe'-
I always grab this axe, know it inside, and can really suss the voice of the pickup itself-
great creamy tone, and the most active tone control sweep I have ever experienced- from liquid woodwind, to crispy edge-
really impressed!-
Thanks to Tim and the gang- what a gas to get all worked up  yet again...
 you guys are great-
I'm a zealot!-

Hey 38-
-That finish WAS satin clear-
-It's "threadbare" from blood,sweat, & beers
-Oil from my hands has patinated the wood...
-you know what they say :
-"the shoemaker's children run around w/ bare feet..."

-Makes the nailbomb look great, in contrast-
you are either a very kind soul ( as I believe to be true...) ,
or have just relieved yerself all over my battled axe.
hehehe....Look at the nailbomb!
-Even better is working it under the fingers,
and then listening to the results-
I gotta post some soundclips of how it cleans up when you roll off gain-
and the tone control works like a wah pedal-
flabbergasted for the second time-
very high marks-
don't let the name mislead you- this is not just a metal/punk/rock  pickup- I don't do 'blues', but it could...
 WOW.- Drac
