I read somewhere that the folks writing the Spinal Tap film script went on tour with Saxon to find how a real band works.  Spinal Tap's Derek Smalls is based on Saxon's bass player.  Especially the playing of open strings so you can punch the air with your left arm.
Mother's Milk.  Mullard.  Cornford.  Mmmmm....

Hey, thanks for the friendly welcome.
Unfortunately I don't have any BKP yet but am going to get a Nailbomb and two Irish tours in my custom guitar when I get it made.
Where in west sussex are you from?

Hi ya,

Im in worthing,but i run a guitar/music store in Portslade(Brighton).I was curious because Doug has been in a few times and i know a couple of his students.Im sure at the time he was using the Music Man Axis,i may be wrong on that one.Cheers,Steve.

Ah right kool, which music shop is it in Portslade? I go there alot for practises at Machine head. I was sure he had a Music Man but wasn't sure exactly what one it was, I remember it being blue (very descriptive eh?). I'm not a student of his anymore as he decided he had nothing to more to teach me, I am at BIMM now though so I don't think i'd have the time for lessons with him anymore anyway, hes a cool guy.
Do you know a Nick Bull? He is a student of Dougs and a friend of mine, if the music shop is that one called 'Bonners' (spell?) then I think he brought an AVT stack from you?
