Just got this, a roadworn Ibanez RG560, serial tells me it's 1990 I think? Looks like a bargain at 200 sent?

Sellers pics:

He may have kept the guitar in reasonable condition, but what was he thinking when he put that top-E string on??!?  :o

Happy NGD though :)

I like that - and a definite bargain.

I think that RG look cool when a little bit beaten up; somehow, I don't really expect that from more modern guitars.  Mind you, RGs must be over 20 years old now as a design...

Oh dear, looks like he did it on stage, mid-song, lights out and wearing a blind-fold - hurriedly trying to finish it before they reached his solo !

I dunno, mebbe I've been on this forum too long, I no longer feel slightly underwhelmed when I see pointy superstrat type guitars :o

Nice one, happy NGD :D

Yep, 1990 RG560 made at the Fujigen factory. Looks like it's had some work on it though, the two switches are not original and neither are the knobs. For £200 you can't go wrong though. Got two 560s myself great guitars for the money.

The E string isn't the only thing that's funky. The bridge pickup is upside down

It blatantly needs to be refinished pink and get green bkps and plastics

I know what ya mean, I can't see a Suhr or Anderson looking like that in 20 years.

That's what I was thinking "if it's beat up like that you can experiment with \a quirky finish"
