new bkp day
« on: May 28, 2010, 11:10:38 AM »
a blackguard flat 50 and slowhand just dropped on to my desk :)

the flat 50 is going into the 'pirate' strat with an irish tour neck

the slowhand is going into my cyclone with a boss bridge

Here we go!

The BGflat50 works particularly excellently with the Irish Tour neck - the two could have been designed to go together!

Still love that Cylcone, I'm sure I remember you saying that you took the original neck off though?

Is the Boss/Slowhand combination a keeper, or have they just ended up in the Cyclone by default?

Glad the pickup swap has worked out just as you intended.  (I think I need to stop faffing and get one orderded!)

Two nice looking guitars too.

yeah, its a good combo - the inbetween position is particular nice - very fender surf sound. the slowhand works better than the irish tour did. i have 3 very usable and different sounds. the cyclone is a bit of mule, so i might put them in something else, but the two pickups will stay together. i like the cyclone :)

regarding the jolly roger strat, it sounds ridiculously tasty!

Nice one :D

I was keeping quiet until you'd given them a go, but I had a feeling that the BG Flat 50 and an IT neck would be pretty much "oh... yeah..."
