http://www.youtube.com/user/frettedamericana?blend=1&ob=4#p/u/6/GqShSuKql1II find this is very amazing that most of you guys find Phil X annoying.
To me, he seems pretty much a normal guitar guy, if there is such a thing.
In fact I kind of identify with him and have a similar persona especially on stage.
I really enjoy his demos because I can relate to him and what he's saying about the piece.
I think it was either stupid luck or sheer genius on the part of Fretted Americana to do produce these
weekly videos, because if Phil X comes across favorably to me, then there has to be thousands more men
just like me who are 40-something successful businessmen and weekend rockers who actually have the money
to afford these collectible guitars.
I have never met Phil X and don't know what he's like personally, but he has a built-in credibility because I can relate
to him, that's the marketing genius part.
Also, I wonder if you all find him so annoying, maybe that's why you find
me annoying and I don't get along very well at times.
Perhaps there's a one-way culture clash that is painful or irritating to your English culture, but as a West Coast American I am blind to it?
