Will the BKP's in my Les Paul fit a PRS Mccarty?
« on: May 30, 2010, 07:02:17 PM »
Hi my question is as per the post title. Will the BKP's in my Les Paul fit a PRS Mccarty? Will the pole pieces line up and is it just a straight swap?

Thanks

Polepieces will be fine, but if you've got long-leg pickups they won't fit in the bridge position....

I may be wrong, but, I think that long leg do fit in the McCarty!

Guys, I've had several McCartys and had BKPs (and other) pickups in them.

The neck cavity is deep enough to fit long leg pickups in, but the bridge isn't.  I had to send a brand new pair of Cold Sweats back to BKP to have the baseplates swapped.

This was an '08 McCarty, and when I fitted BKPs to my '01 McCarty the short legs were just right too.  I don't think the cavity routing has changed over the years.......
