Yo

How do you guys rate this guitar player? I managed to get hold of his first album "minds eye" and the playing/tone melodies are awesome. It's kind of neoclassical and very 80s metal but I think it sounds pretty magical and I love this stuff.
I really reccomend checking out vinnie and his first album also the best song is called "lifeforce" if you like shred.
Crazy to think this album is nearly 20 years old and I'm totally into it

Peace out

He can play - and the tone he gets from a neck humbucker is awesome!  I've got lots of Vinnie, but I think Minds Eye is a favorite of mine

i haven't actually got round to getting mind's eye yet (it's on my (admittedly decidedly large) "to buy" list), but he recorded something for guitar techniques mag a while ago (i think it's on the cornford website now), and he's awesome!   EDIT: there's also a decidedly cool clip of frank gambale, another guy i want to get into but haven't got round to buying, yet!

my fav. Vinnie Moore recording is Soldiers of the Night by Vicious Rumours,
awesome shred in a Metal band context,
killer flames/battleaxe/longboat album artwork too. \m/

if you like Virgin Steele or Jag Panzer this album is for you.
