I'm not usually one for gold hardware, nor sunburst teles for that matter, but that does look rather tasty. (Especially against that door!)

Congratulations :D

My sentiments exactly actually, i usually like neither, but here they seem to work.

the door came with the flat so technically second hand, i believe it's a multipiece beech effort with a hand rubbed oil finish, so i imagine it's resonant as hell

That's really interesting you're the same on the colour scheme. I wouldn't rule out gold hardware either, if it was "right", and I've recently acquired a sunburst strat with maple fingerboard (I think it's the maple/sunburst that I'm not so sure about), and I kinda love that now...

If it's got a good tone, Wez could probably make you a couple of lapsteels out of it (the door, that is :D)

again odd you say that, because other than this guitar i'm not a gold hardeware person. as you say, on the right guitar. oddly enough here's 2 strats with gold hardware (happen to be kotzen strats) and they're gorgeous

Actually, yeah, it kinda works for me on those as well...

But if they were all in a room together though, I'd be more likely to allow photographs of me wearing your tele, the strats are just a bit "bling" for me  - somehow the tele seems less so.

yeah actually i'd agree with that, something about the strats are a little more show offy, the tele's kinda subtle, which i never thought i'd say about a gold hardwared, abalone inlayed, flame topped guitar

Nice guitar!  I agree with the comments about gold hardware, but it does seem to work in this instance.

Is that a real Richie Kotzen signature on the headstock?

It is indeed, he did a store day in the shop in edinburgh i bought it from. signed three of them. I was able to chose my favourite from four (one wasn't signed). I didn't buy it because it was signed, i would have happily bought the unsigned one, but this sounded the best  :D

Yes, a very nice ( and opulent ! ) piece of gear there tekbow.  I can imagine it covers a LOT of tonal range /bases. :D

Gold hardware ? ( It took me a little while to 'adjust ' to mine ) nice,  -  but be warned, you'll wake up one morning and start playing smoooooth Jazz !  8)

i have a pair of Kotzens, love the big necks, although the strat is slightly thinner. Great sounds on both. Fender Japan know how to put a guitar together  8)
