Just got a pair of Piledrivers to replace the ever so polite Fender Vintage Noiseless pups in my American Deluxe Tele.
Having removed the pickguard I've discovered it has nice pickup options.  A strat size route in the middle and a humbucker sized one in the neck.  Owned it for over 4 years and never knew.

They'll be soldered in tomorrow, and pics will follow.

I'm very keen to hear about these - I'm considering a piledriver for my esquire project.
I think I hate being indecisive.

I've got a parts Tele with an American Deluxe body.  I'm always contemplating adding a neck humbucker or going for a T/S/S setup - it's nice to have those options!  :)

They're in and sound awesome.  Lots of power, but still sound like a tele.  I've never particularly liked the neck pickup on teles before, but this one sounds fantastic.  The middle position has an almost reverby sound to it, amazing.

Looks great Andy, and glad it sounds great too!

That colour looks very familiar (excuse shoddy photo)

Looking good - some clips would be great!

Philly, what model is your black tele? Are those mini HBs I see in it?

It's basically an American Deluxe like Andy's, but it was put together from parts which I bought separately.  The pickups are a Lollar Firebird neck and a Joe Barden bridge.

The sunburst was also an American Deluxe body, with the neck and hardware from my old American Ash Tele (which weighed a ton so I got rid of the body).

The black Tele now has the untinted maple neck, I sold the sunburst body and tinted neck.
