Road Trip
« on: June 10, 2010, 07:09:49 AM »
I'm away on a road trip around France and Spain today.
First stop Le Mans 24 hour with the England v USA game too! Then where ever the road takes us for a week but to end in southern Spain.
Cars belong to two mates of mine. A BMW M5 500BHP V10 & a Lambourghini but I don't know which model yet but will update this when I know.  :D
I'm taking my camera kit but minus the 600 f4 as I won't need it.
All on ex's too so I am one lucky bar-steward!

Edit the flash car is a Gallardo V10 540BHP!! Blimey  :D

I'll post some pics as it didn't happen if it didn't!

holy cr@p, a lamborghini? I'm not a gigantic car fan, but lamborghinis are like the coolest thing in the world.

perhaps more accurately i'm not a car fan with the kind of budget i have for a car.

I don't really pay much attention to these super cars myself normally. They're nice to look at and its good when your on the road near one and to hear those engines.
My two pals are petrol heads and spend obscene amounts of money on them and they asked me to come on their trip with my camera, so now i'm all excited at the prospect of actually being a passenger in one. I expect it would be a bit of a piss take to  ask for a go in it, but i will! Speak now or forever hold you peace. I just hope we all get back in on piece.

 :D

Edit. I should hopefully get a go in the Beemer. It'll make a nice change from driving lorrys!

If you're going to sat in the passenger seat for a few days, then it would be rude not to let you have a go.

I'm a MASSIVE car fan (which is why I became an engineer rather than an architect - decided that buildings didn't go fast enough).

Have fun you lucky, lucky bar-steward
Advice worth what you just paid for it.

I'll grab a few when they arrive. They're on their way down from Manchester now. I'll have to do them with the iPhone and upload them to here via photo bucket.

I've never driven either, and while I KNOW that the beemer is incredibly good, I've got to say that the Lambo makes it look like a boring sedan, even from those rainy-day pics!

I'm sure you're going to have a great time. Don't forget to get the stereos pumping with some meshuggah ;)

I'm not into cars, or hot countries.   But I do like that kind of holiday - travelling around and not stopping anywhere too long.

Have a good one Johnny, and show us some of your pics!  :D
