Black Dogs little improv.
« on: December 07, 2005, 01:12:48 AM »
Just thought I would post a little sound clip of my newly BKPed Ibanez.
The playing is poor, as it is improvised, first take. Using Apple 'garageband for the drum & bass loops, and the built-in sims for the guitar.
The clean rhythm is middle coils of the 'dogs, a fender sim with comp/phase, the lead is the bridge 'dog, a high gain marshall sim with a bit of reverb.
Ps. I am hoping to get some recording gear soon (and a bit more practice) So future clips might be less cringeworthy!
Currently abusing Ibanez, Conklin & Hohner guitars & basses Laney, Marshall, Ashdown & Hartke amps

Cool, bob. Those BKPs sound good, even with the Garageband amps.

Sounds good to me, some of the phrases are a little bit like Santana - well done!

Thanks for listening. As i said, i need some recording stuff really. Is a pod a good idea?
I've never actually listened to Santana, funnily enough.

It does sound very Santana-esque. Very mellow, sweet, dark sound.

Which POD?    PODs are pretty good for recording like this, but, depending on your budget and what else you will end up using it for, there can be better ways to go.

I swear _tom_ is my long-lost twin!!  :D I got my first interview on Tuesday tho. Wish me luck - I've applied EVERYWHERE and these are the only folk that called me back! hehe

Very Santana-esque I love it, and that tone is AWESOME; especially for Garageband!!  :o I need to get that! Great style you got going there :)
LOVING the Mules!

:D Sounds good to me to FatBob !!  :D

Yep very Santana`ish by the way That Garage band thing sounds great to me. Is it versitile enough for you to programme what you want the Drums to do [ like a drum machine ] & Bass ? & can you get it to do keyboard sounds ?

 :D  8)

PS i own & use a Podxt i think there great very versitile. If i was going to play live with an original material type band i`d use an amp but for little cover gigs etc its fine.
God I could do with a Gin & Tonic !
