Here is an interesting one
This kind of represents signs of things to come
It is the first of many guitars that will feature a pearl inlaid catseye logo on the headstock and also has the prototype inlaid fingerboard that we intend to use on our 2010 LTD edition Lion range
This guitar acted as a guinea pig or a test run to see how well these additions will work- and the answer is stunningly well
So more about this guitar - a Lion cub - so it's like a Junior model - albeit with every upgrade available
It has a chambered mahogany body with a flame maple cap on top- bound in with ivoroid binding
Weight wise it is very light - only 7lbs!!
Neck is a 3 piece mahogany with an ebony fingerboard -inlaid with split MOP/Abalone/MOP block markers
Scale length is standard Gibson 24.75" and frets are Dunlop 6000- all beautifully seated and dressed.
Neck is a full width deep set tenon which as ever allows us to carve our all access heel for easy top fret access
Electronics on this one are a bit special as it also has a Graphtech Ghost acoustic pickup and preamp too.
Magnetic pickups are Bare Knuckle Stormy Monday pickups going to 500k volume pots and a master tone control witha vitamin Q oil and paper capacitor (0.022uF)
The mini toggle is a "quick switch that allows you to switch between electric, acoustic and a mix of the two
The forth control is a volume control for the piezo/acoustic guitar volume, featuring a push /push for two different voicings for the acoustic preamp.
Other top notch hardware includes Sperzel Locking machineheads,Earvana compensated tuning nut, Tonepros locking tailpiece studs with ultra lightweight aluminium tailpiece, Dunlop straplocks and Q-Parts control knobs
