I'm back
« on: June 25, 2010, 11:13:58 AM »
Hey guys, here I am, back after 9 weeks of yoga teacher training in Las Vegas.

It was an awesome, AWESOME experience!!

Also became much fitter, healthier, lighter as well as feel totally cleaned up in my mind - just opened up and learned how to enjoy life ... oh as well how to teach Yoga obviously ;o)

Oh and I feel completely GAS free, how is that for a change?

A small snippet I wanted to share is this shot we took with fellow students on a weekend boat trip on lake Mead, and yes, it was 10 girls and I was the only guy - unfortunately the girl who takes the pic is not on it ... she is my fiancee *LOL

Enjoy:

i'm looking forward to some psychedelicate space rock clips from you now Hunter :D

it looks you had a truly amazing time and welcome back!

i've often wondered about exploring a more spiritual side, thought I must admit I am a mostly an adrenalin driven kind of guy. i think it might open up a new side to my playing, when i hear my favourites like uli jon roth and so on. i've simply tried to open this up without any spiritual techniques so far.

Lawks, is that what people wear for Bikram Yoga classes?

I feel like if I walked in that room, first it would go eerily silent, then they'd all point at me and start laughing.  :?

Nah Phil, everybody is welcome. I started with a shirt for 6 months. My recommendation would be to take it off though. First' it's really hot and even more so if you're overweight with a shirt on, second the reflection in the mirror reminds you what you're working on. Having a shirt on is in the end denial, and won't help on the road to health and happiness.

Just go for it, trust me, stick with it and it'll save your life.

I must remember to say that.

But replace 'shirt' with 'bra'

(P.S. Why doesnt the same work with bras!?!?!)

Hi Christoph, nice to see you back. Those pics are great, some great looking women in there!
I've heard if this Bikram Yoga, it's supposed to really burn the calories. Is it hard to learn? You must feel like a new man.

No GAS eh? It can't last! We're having a meet in Croyden, South London, in July. Perhaps you might like to come too?  :D

Absolutely. You are never too old, too sick, too weak or anything to start. You will be able to do all the postures, maybe you'll do them all wrong at the beginning, but that doesn't matter. And it will take you years and years to perfect them. Only rule is that you must work hard and try your utmost, really suffer for the 90 minutes, then you will feel amazing afterwards. It really cleans you inside out.

The weight loss will not come by itself. But I discovered that you get more conscious about what you eat, because through reactivation of your dead meat body you get a better connection or something. That's why in the long run you will change your habits and eat healthier, which together with the workout leads to a sustainable weight loss.

I don't think I'll make it to this meet. But it stays on the To Do list to come one day in the future.

Welcome back! What does all this mean in relation to the band you are (were?) in?
